Deity has released the full information for their new S-Mic 3 and S-Mic 3S shotgun mics. The long awaited successors to the S-Mic 2-range come with new super-low noise circuitry and aluminium-alloy housings. This means just 12dBA of self-noise (that's super-low!) and weights up to 60% less than the previous generation.
Additional to the two new microphones, Deity has partnered with Radius Windshields in the development of their ASM2 Pro Kit, a high-quality shockmount kit (with Deity-yellow trim) which includes both hand-held and boom-mountable parts. This allows the user to build it to their spec depending on the job's requirements. The ASM2 Pro Kit also includes a jumper cable with low-profile XLR on the mic-side, keeping the overall weight down as much as possible.
There are also two new furry windshields now available: the W01 Deluxe Windshield (for the S-Mic 2 / 3) and the W02 Deluxe Windshield (for the S-Mic 2S / 3S).
