The new Audioroot BH2 eSmart Dual Battery Holder is out and looks excellent, offering a lightweight and small dual battery pack solution for location sound recordists on the go, to compliment their BH1 single battery sled.
The Audioroot BH2 is configurable with different output connectors and cables, either combined or seperate connection depending on your chosen power distributor. The combined output means both batteries housed in the BH2 will act as a single unit, meaning hot swapping is possible easily and without worry of power loss. These two configuration options can be described as follows:

Direct Outputs Configuration:
- Dual Independent Outputs: Features two lead output cables, one for each battery, allowing them to operate and drain independently.
- Combined Power via D-TAP: Offers a combined power solution through the D-TAP connector located at the bottom of the unit.
- The BH2 with 2 direct outputs is the ideal companion of the eSMART TRIO.

Combined Power and Data Output Configuration:
- Single Combined Output: Provides one lead output cable that actively combines both battery power and data.
- Smart Battery Power Distribution: Ideal for connecting 2 batteries simultaneously to single input smart battery power distributors like the BG-DU, allowing both batteries to function as a single unit.
Both the Audioroot BH1 and BH2 are designed to be strong and lightweight, with a spring-loaded latch to lock the batteries in place. They also feature a metal belt clip to attach them, for example, to the wall of your sound bag. The belt clip can be unscrewed and fixed to either side of the unit.
