With the relaunch of the 4099, DPA just surpassed their industry leading DPA 4099 instrument mic with its new successor, the DPA 4099 CORE+.
With its new CORE+ technology DPA has pushed the boundaries of signal processing when it comes to the reduction of Distortion. The technology is so good that, all the way up to an SPL of about 130dB, the converted signal stays clean, with a THD of practically zero. But not only the mic itself is new, the whole body and even the entire ecosystem of the microphone changed with brand new userfriendly mounts and accessories they have added.
The 4099 CORE+ Body
- From a visual standpoint, the 4099 CORE+ mics now sport a modernized flocked foam that reflects less light and is more durable than that of the older 4099 models.
- For that matter DPA's "Special matte Nextel®" coating also allows the 4099's Gooseneck to absorb about 98% of all incoming light protecting it even better from possible on-stage reflections.
- The new suspension of the 4099 will isolate the capsule even better from Instrument vibrations and stage noise as the old ones.
- A new Gooseneck Lock is now included as a standard accessory with every product.
- A discreet coloured ring right above the connector of the mic now indicates the sensitivity type of the microphone
- All DPA 4099 CORE+ Microphones now feature DPA's MicroLock® connectors
All-new Accessories
All-new Accessories are built around DPA's new "Gooseneck Mount" or short: G-Mount. It replaces two parts that were necessary to mount the 4099 (Rubber Mount and Gooseneck Lock) and features a two-step locking mechanism for effortless and precise gooseneck positioning with just one hand. Just open the lever and place the gooseneck in the clip, where it is held securely without slipping, allowing you to rotate the gooseneck or adjust the microphone’s height in any way you please. Afterwards you close the lever with the locking mechanism getting engaged by clicking the lever down, securely fixing the gooseneck’s position.
With the G-Mount DPA also revamped several of the instrument specific mounts making them more secure and longer lasting. Amongst the new CORE+ accessories are the Clips for Accordeon, Cello, Piano, Drums, but also the universal clip, the clamp mount and more.
Additionally to all the G-Mount, DPA also launched the XLR-Mount which can be used just the same way as the G-Mount making it possible to use DPA mounts with almost every other Microphone that features an XLR-Output.
