Rycote Cyclone Windshield Kit

The Rycote Cyclone Windshield Kit is a durable, lightweight Windshield that delivers category-leading wind and shock isolation performance, outperforming modular windshield designs while maintaining the same overall mass but lighter weight.

Featuring a unique multi-suspension design, the Cyclone provides complete isolation from handling and cable noise as well as windshield basket self-noise. The patented Rycote Lyre suspension webs combined with the new Floating-Basket Suspension create an advanced noise barrier that prevents vibrations from transmitting to the primary suspension.

The two-piece Z-Locking system magnetically secures the basket around the microphone for quick, reliable attachment or removal. Its cone-like shape reduces reflective surfaces, minimizing “room effect” and enhancing transparency for clearer audio.

With 3D-Tex® covering the windshield exterior, this durable material offers excellent acoustic transparency while significantly reducing wind noise. The Cyclone’s innovative design shifts bulk toward the basket front, delivering wind-noise reduction that surpasses traditional modular windshields and windjammers combined.
