Schoeps CMC 6 U:
The Schoeps CMC 6 U Microphone Preamp is designed for standard 48- and 12-Volt phantom powering of their capsules. Its circuitry recognizes the supply voltage and self-adjusts accordingly, to provide performance characteristics that remain essentially the same either way. The difference is that the current drawn at 12 Volts is greater than at 48 Volts. However, the 12-Volt mode consumes less power and may be preferred for battery-powered recording. See product >
Schoeps MK 41:
The Schoeps MK 41 is a super-cardioid mic capsule that effectively attenuates diffuse sound energy and offers a very clear, "dry" sound pickup. The MK41's polar pattern is exceptionally frequency-independent: sounds from the side and back are strongly attenuated, but picked up without any false coloration. This feature has made the Schoeps MK 41 an international standard for indoor film sound recording. See product >
