Schoeps MK 41 Mic Capsule Features
- Supercardioid directional pattern
- High directivity, at low and medium frequencies comparable to that of a shotgun microphone
- Natural sound due to flat frequency response which remains essentially the same for all directions of pickup. This is particularly important for indoor recording
- Preferred uses: recording dialogue for film sound; as a spot microphone in the orchestra and on the opera stage
- With a remarkably frequency-independent polar pattern, the MK 41 minimizes coloration from off-axis sound, providing natural, uncolored audio even from the sides and rear. Its supercardioid sensitivity pattern reaches a minimum at approximately 125°, making it less susceptible to acoustic feedback than any other SCHOEPS capsule, perfect when used with side- / rear-facing loudspeakers.
