The Schoeps AK Surround M/U Adapter Cable divides the signals from a multi-pin miniature Binder socket connector to numerous XLR-3M plugs. It is available in a four-, or five-channel version as the AK Surround.

The AK Surround M/4U is further available as the AK Surround H M/4U with a connector for heater powering; an AC power supply is then included, which delivers 13 Volts at 350 mA for the heater built in to the windscreen of the ORTF Surround or ORTF-3D system. Instead of the AC power supply, a battery pack can be used (12 VDC at >= 350 mA, or a constant current supply of 350 mA at min. 20 Volts open circuit).
