The Genelec 8040 is a studio monitor for music production, post-production and broadcast. It enables fatigue-free listening and objective mixing with a clearly defined bass response.
The speaker is made of die-cast aluminum for low resonance and stability. The drivers are protected by grilles. Rounded cabinet edges and sound directing ensure optimal spatial imaging and a wide listening zone. The bass reflex design ensures precise and deep bass reproduction up to 41 Hz.
The Genelec 8040 offers high level reserves. With its two low-distortion 90-watt power amplifiers, it achieves a sound pressure level of 105 dB. It is therefore also suitable for medium-sized rooms up to about 30 m². There are switchable filters to adapt to the set-up.
