Description
The DPA 4017C Short Shotgun Microphone is a pristine, precision-crafted tool engineered for broadcast, ENG, film booming, camera-mounted use, and even demanding studio environments. Its remarkable accuracy, clarity, and musicality make it a standout performer across a wide range of professional audio applications.
At just 154 mm (6.1 in) and weighing only 70 g (2.5 oz), the 4017C redefines compactness without compromising on performance. Its highly-directional hypercardioid pickup pattern—achieved via a supercardioid design and interference tube—delivers outstanding off-axis rejection and natural sound, even from the sides and rear. The capsule is immune to RF interference and endures extreme temperatures and humidity with unwavering reliability.
Paired with the MMP-B preamp, Low Cut, and High Boost, this condenser microphone handles SPLs up to 152 dB, while offering ultra-low noise, high output, and wide dynamics. The result is an exceptionally lightweight shotgun mic that sounds as pristine as it performs.
