Description
The DPA 4006C Omnidirectional Microphone delivers the renowned transparency and precision of the d:dicate™ series in a compact, discreet form factor. Designed for situations where space is limited but uncompromising sound quality is required, the 4006C offers a clean, neutral response ideal for professional studio, live, and field recording applications. Its smaller size makes it perfect for visually sensitive environments such as theaters, concert halls, or film sets.
Despite its compact build, the 4006C captures full-bodied, highly detailed sound. It is a favorite for stereo A-B configurations in challenging acoustic spaces, as well as for close-miking instruments like trumpet, double bass, and piano. In field recording and ambience capture, it provides faithful reproduction with minimal coloration—ideal for location audio on film sets or capturing audience presence in stadiums, worship spaces, and sound stages.
Its modular design enhances versatility: included acoustic modification tools such as nose cones and interchangeable grids allow the 4006C to be tailored to specific recording needs. With no phase shift or added noise, this adaptability ensures a consistent and pristine audio signature across every application.
