The DPA 3511A Stereo Kit with matched 4011A Cardioid Microphones is a professional-grade solution designed for capturing precise and naturally detailed stereo recordings. Widely trusted in studios, concert halls, and live production environments, this stereo kit embodies the legendary quality of DPA’s pencil microphone series, renowned for their transparency, low distortion, and faithful sound reproduction.
At the core of the kit are two carefully factory-matched 4011A cardioid condenser microphones, matched within ±1 dB across the full frequency bandwidth in both frequency response and sensitivity. The 4011A features a true first-order cardioid pickup pattern that ensures excellent directional control and accurate off-axis response. Its linear on-axis frequency response, superb phase coherence, and the ability to handle extremely high SPLs make it a versatile choice for a wide range of applications, from spot-miking in symphonic orchestras to close-miking vocals, acoustic instruments, and drum overheads. A built-in 20 dB pad, discreetly located in the center of the XLR connector, expands its capability for high-level sound sources.
The 3511A Stereo Kit includes two 4011A microphones, two UA0897 shock-mount microphone holders, two DUA0020 foam windscreens, one SB0400 stereo boom, and two DUA0019 microphone clips, all securely housed in a rugged transport case. Every component has been thoughtfully selected to deliver an optimized stereo setup, whether in the studio or on location.
